It's weird, but one of the most anoying things that are happening to me, right now, is that I'm not able to remember my dreams anymore. I just to have a very good "dream memory", but since I arrived to Austin I'm not able to remember any dream that I have at night. The only things that I still keep in my mind are just figments of images and feelings; like sadness, happyness, cold, warm.

This piece was inspired in all of that. So I found this film slugs, rolls of celluloid that are bad printed, so if you proyect it you're not able to see anything.

I have some hundreds of film slugs that I bought for a very cheap price, and I started to do crazy stuff to them: scratching it with a razor blade, burning it with a lighter and paint some parts with acrilics.

The thing that I realized is when you scratch the film you are able to see the layers of the emultions. So you see the basic colors of it: Cyan, Magenta and Yellow. More deeper you get, more Yellow turns everything, untill you get to the pure transparent celluloid.

After doing this "destruction" process of the film I proyect it onto a device to record it with a DV camcorder, in some sort of home made film transfer to digital.

After making the editing in the Final Cut I went to my friend Jon Robert's place to record some sounds with his guitar. He plays noises with the guitar and making feedbacks with the amp and playing noises with a Fuzz factory pedal. I went back home with all of that and I started to transform the noises into the final form. Stretching and playing with the pitch levels of the sounds.

So, there you go...
