"The Nutcracker"

| Music: The Nutcracker: Scene Xll Dance of the Mirlitons Performed by: Royal Philharmonic Orchestra & David Maninov There were a lot of things I wanted to do for my final project. I then decided to use a lot of the uncanny ideas I had to form my own production of The Nutcracker (or maybe a scene from). So, after I had finished filming, I placed my project to the music of Peter Tchaikovsky only to find out that everything I thought would be creepy ended up being incredibly adorable! Or is it? I found this to be incredibly interesting because my first idea for a final project dealt with nursery rhymes. I wanted to focus on "Ring Around The Rosy" which is about the black plague that swept over Europe but is sung by young children in kindergarten during recess. I thought the idea of taking something so tragic and turning it into family fun is just uncanny and awesome! So, it turns out that I kind of did the same thing with my very own project. I took my own anxieties and fears and managed to turn it into something like a nursery rhyme, which I find to be uncanny. |
