PROJECT TWO:
"Ave Maria"
"Ave Maria" music by Franz Schubert
Sung by: Sarah H. Kruger

This past summer I was on top of Mt. Bonnell in Austin, Texas with a friend of mine around six o'clock in the morning. It was summer and sleep schedules go awry, hence the early hour setting. About ten minutes after arriving, we heard the distant chanting of some people who were on the very top of the mountain.
We were intrigued and so we sneaked our way up there to see what was going on. Once we arrived we found a group of people pacing back and forth and praying out loud in Spanish. We walked towards the center of the group just to get a better feel of what was happening. They continued to walk around us and ignore our presence. It was a very uncanny experience of being there but not being recognized. Furthermore, this brought on some of the uncanny feelings I had towards religion in general. Is there really a God? What happens after we die? There are so many questions with very little answers.

Nick Grant, who is also part of the ACTLab, and myself then decided to team up and make this short film.
