what is the dream machine?
The Dream Machine is the brainchild of Kristin Peterson and Emily McFarlen. They, like countless others, wanted to get a better night's sleep. Together they created a bed that creates a tranquil sleeping environment through the use of audio and video. Although we encourage interested parties to visit our facilities to experience a night of restful sleep, we also want to provide information about Dream Machine construction so that you may enjoy the serenity of the Dream Machine from your own home.

Dream Machine Components:
(2) - 5' length 2x4s...any type of wood
(1) - 4' length 2x4
(8) - 1' length 2x4s
(1) - white king sized fitted sheet
(1) - full sized air matress
(1) - video projector
(1) - Dream Machine video (samples are available here)

Step One: Lay the 5' pieces parallel on the floor with 4' between them. Drill or nail the 4 ' piece so that it connects the two 5' pieces to form an "H".

Step Two: Take two of the 1' pieces and drill or nail them together to form an "L". Repeat until all of the 1' pieces are part of an "L" (you will have 4 Ls).

Step Three: Drill or nail one "L" to the bottom of one of the 5' pieces. While it is still laying on the floor, do the same to the other 5' piece. Now stand the entire structure up and nail the remaining two "L"s to the other side of the 5' pieces.

Step Four: Now you have the frame completed. Now inflate your air matress and put the frame at the head of the bed.

Step Five: Take the white sheet and drape it over the top of the frame. Stretch the sheet so that you can put the two remaining corners around the matress.

Step Six: Set up your projector so that the video can be seen projected on the sheet while laying in the bed. Now you have your very own dream machine.
