Interests:

I like movies. I appreciate the creative and cooperative process involved in producing an artistic medium.

-Goals:

Iwanted to accomplish a couple of small goals this semester. First, I wanted to learn more about computers. I don't own or use a PC or Mac. But this semester, I've accepted the challenge and forunately learned a lot. I also wanted my work to be meaningful and worthwhile. I feel that I have fulfilled both of the goals, and I'm proud.

Keith T. Stanigar

We performed on Monday to finally finish our semester in Sandy Stone's performance class. Retaliation seemed to capture the audience's attention. I think the piece as a whole was easy to relate to, with the everyday fustrations and reminders that our world isn't perfect. Some reactions from the audience were surprising. Kaz, the local, mentioned I was crazy. Now, coming from him, that's loco. Some people were scared that I might hit them with some of the props. But I guess that proves the effectiveness of my performance.

Improvements
I'm probably the worst critic of myself, but there is always room for improvement. I could have taken my time on stage to allow the audience to absorb the piece. The iMovie should have been exported to a Quicktime movie so the visuals could have been more visuable. I also think that I could have been more improvisional with my group members to keep the piece flowing. This was a one time experience, but I it was a valuable performing experience.

Convergent Media

Project: Retaliate is in full SWING. The sculpture is an 8'x 6' aluminum screen used to project images of disturbing and sometimes unnconditional occurances that subdue the average person: i.e. parking tickets, the media, corporate advertising, and so on. Our performance is our personal reaction to these everyday occurances and after the performance the audience will be left with the finished sculpture.
