THE KELVIN WATER DROPPER

Welcome to the world of the Kelvin Water Dropper.

So here is the story...

When I started thinking about my first project...I decided I wanted to do something 'sciency'. I was never good with experiments or constructing cool things...so I thought maybe this would be a good experiment to test my abilities. So I started searching online for cool experiments. I could build a robot, construct dynamite (but I think that is against ActLab rules), or make this nifty contraption called the Kelvin Water Dropper. So, I started researching it. Supposedly...by using tin cans, metal rods, and water, you should be able to conduct electricity!! How fun!! So after purchasing all the materials...I started putting the Dropper together...carefully following the instructions. Well....as science sometimes happens....things DONT ALWAYS WORK. I tried and I tried and I tried...but Mr. Kelvin did not want to generate anything but a huge mess on my living room floor.

So...what did I learn from my endevours at REAL SCIENCE?? KEEP IT WEIRD. Weird Science is where all the fun is anyways. BUT...I did manage to document my process of failure and turn it into a nifty little video....enjoy!
