In the fumes of World War I, a new art movement was developing in parts of
Europe and America. Dada artists were a new breed out of the avant-garde movement.
Revolution in art and in society was the goal. They thought they could achieve this by
breaking down the walls that separated different forms of art.
By provoking society they hoped to take part in the rebuilding of culture.
Dada noise developed in Zurich, Switzerland at a cafe called Cabaret Voltaire.
"Noise making" and "simultaneous poetry" were developed here and given the label "Bruitism."
In a poeme simultan the same poem was recited by differnet people who spoke (beginning at
different times and perhaps in different languages) and possibly sang or whistled.
"Instantaneous awareness of numerous events occouring at any one time in space...
and the product of an additional collapse of time into that already collapsed space."
LIFE takes a small bite of this theory and chews it up to become what it is.
Life is a miracle no matter how you decide to look at it or how you believe it came to be.
Each and every one of us knows that human life holds some intrinsic value.
Every second of every day our lives are dictated by the decisions we make.
The purpose of this soundscape is not to tell you how to live,
but to compell you to ask yourself that question. What is the most important thing in life?
Answer that for yourself.
