process piece: the genesis of my piece. Footage of cells, pods, parasites and signals are thrown together to see if any new association may be gleaned. This has since become one of my favorite techniques for getting out of a creative slump.

george's introduction: the description of the final project to be played concurrently on a separate monitor. It seemed funny at the time. My review board was not amused.

coffee table: the first in a series of genetically modified furniture pieces contained within the cellular house. The furniture was created using a homemade script that modified the model's topology based on cellular growth formulas (size, growth rate, and pattern). Several generations of furniture were created. The most aesthetically pleasing was chosen, modified again by hand, and rendered.

couch: my favorite furniture design, and my first excuse to use fur-shading techniques. The couch is a semi-living entity that adapts to the user's mood and desired position.

lamp: script generated lamp. I let this one get a bit farther into its scripted growth before rendering it. The result is a less recognizable form.
