You will upload your final work to the media commons repository of the class website (wiki), and then create a page where you introduce and display your work. Publish your work under a Creative Commons License of your choice. You can choose between three classes of remix: audio, video, or image. Depending of what format you decide to use you will upload an *mp3, a *mov, or a *jpg file. The requirements for each type of remix are listed above. -Option 1. Audio remix using free software Audacity: 1. Use at least 4 different pieces of audio, songs, or field recordings, sound effects, or speeches. (open source, public domain, fair use, creative commons) 2. Search for the sources of audio in media commons and open repositories. Sources must be in the public domain or hold CC licences. 3. Make a minimum of 8 audio edits, cuts, and effects. 4. At least 1 minute long 5. Create meaning (either in the form of a song or in the form of a short story). 6. Export you final remix as mp3, 128 kbps, stereo. Upload it to the class wiki website repository and publish it in a single web page. 7. Write an introductory synopsis of your audio remix and include a tittle. 8. Include a list with the names of your original sources and links to them. -Option 2. Video remix using proprietary software Final Cut Pro : 1. Use at least 4 different pieces of video from different open sources. 2. Search for sources of video in media commons and open repositories. 3. Make a minimum of 8 video edits, cuts, transitions, or effects. 4. At least 1 minute long 5. Create meaning (either in the form of a short story, a music video, abstract) 6. Export you final video remix as *mov, compressed in 264H. Upload it to the class wiki website repository and publish it in a single web page. 7. Write an introductory synopsis of your video remix and include a tittle. 8. Include a list with the names of your original sources and links to them. -Option 3. Three Image remixes (ordered in a sequence of 3 panels) using proprietary software Photoshop: 1. Use at least 9 different images. 2. Search for sources of images in media commons and open repositories. 3. Make a minimum of 18 image edits, cuts, effects. 4. The 3 different remixes need to be organized in 3 a sequence of 3 panels. 5. Create meaning (short narrative, story). 6. Export you final sequence of 3 remixes as *jpg. Upload it to the class wiki website repository and publish it in a single web page. 7. Write an introductory synopsis of your visual remix and include a tittle. 8.
