creatures of the night. monsters. metamorphosis.this is an ongoing series of mixed media collages. i explore here the fantastical imagination playing with the iconography of natural history. the cut-ups are arranged with a fantastical logic that tries to represent an action, an adventure.

each nocturnal landscape has the potential of being used as a piece of a bigger one. each piece is like cut-up of a bigger collage that is a work-in-progress. with the people from the actlab we created an experiment that consisted in placing each landscape inside of a frame (we used a white board). it was a sort of collective storytelling. each person had the chance to place a landscape and while doing so she/he had to make an utterance related to the landscape that was being added.
