Currently, the front page of Tutorial Junction says:
". . . Tutorial Junction is a collection of tutorials
and instructional materials covering a broad range of computer applications
and technologies. The tutorials, prepared by School of Information
IT Services staff, are designed to help School of Information
students. . . "
This helps us to define the customer and primary/secondary audience
for the project. Our customer for this project will be The School
of Information IT Services. More specifically, the people and organization
whose primary responsibilities are to maintain and develop the iSchool's
Tutorial Junction site.
The primary audiences are students, faculty, and staff in University
of Texas at Austin. Secondary audiences include the citizens of the
state and the scholars of the nation and the world. Our project will
focus mainly on the primary audiences, and providing resources and
services to them. There are areas of the site that could be developed
to more fully address secondary audiences as well.
To establish and maintain the contact with customer, project team
will perform the following activities:
- Schedule regular meetings and discussions,
providing status reports, and gathering feedback from School of
Information IT Services staff responsible for Tutorial Junction
site.
- Execute initial survey of the primary and secondary
audiences for the site performed online. See
the current draft here.
- Schedule regular meetings of information architecture
team to get status updates and project progress.
- Customer satisfaction survey at the end of the
project.
