Part III

My starting parts for Part III - I also cannibalized a number of parts from the previous two versions.

Here I am working on Cyborg III's feet. I wanted to make his feet somewhat sturdier this time, and also a little less human-looking, and this is what I came up with. Also notice that the height of his lower legs alone is comparable to the height of Cyborg I.

This is me putting together the hip segment. With so many pipe fittings, it began to get very hard to fit them all together uniformly. You can see on the left that I had to take the feet back off in order to get a clear range of motion for screwing together the legs and hips.

Another shot of me putting together the legs and hips, with some difficulty.

This is me standing with the original version of Cyborg III's main skeleton. I ended up lengthening his legs substantially not long after this picture was taken.

Here I am adding the tentacle-hands to the newly heightened skeleton. The arms on Cyborg III were made using pipe fittings as before, combined with hose segments like those you'd find on the sprayer nozzle on a sink. Then, I attached three tentacles to each arm, made out of braided wire like the previous versions. Also visible here is the stomach I put together - the stomach itself is a clear blue plastic container I found at Container Store, and around it are the hoses for a battery-powered aerator I got from Academy to made the liquid in the stomach churn and bubble.

A close-up of the rib cage, still made up of parts from Part I. For this version, I added two segments of rebar(also from Part I) slanted at angles, then attached the ribs to those. This proved much easier and more interesting to look at than the previous versions, where I had to lash all of the ribs to the same piece of spine.

The completed Phase III Cyborg! In this photo you can see that I added some sunglasses to add a bit of personality(as I mentioned before, he can see in all directions, so naturally the sunglasses are worn purely for disguise purposes) and some braided tentacle hair.

Me, posing Cyborg III - To get an idea of the scale, you should know that I'm about 6 feet tall. I'm slouching a bit here, but even standing with good posture the cyborg ended up having at least 2 or 3 inches on me.
