Morse in
1837 created a communication system through manual tapping. DOTs
and DASHes. Varying pressure on the telegraph one
could spell 
to send information over a distance.
The fingerprint is another signal, a marker of an individual's identity, which can clearly illustrate the process of transmitting the Morse code. Fingerprints were stamped at different pressures, the lighter pressure signifying the dot and the heavier pressure signifying the dash. A translation of prssure to symbol, symbol to letter, and letter to word.
