Our project falls into that "line". We call our contraption…our capsule…our monster…an ionic wind lifter. Using energy from compacted atoms, one can actually make an object float!
We all know the reality of flight. Airplanes, birds, the list goes on. However, the idea of levitation, or hovering in midair, perplexes us, and we often associate it with black magic or demonic witchcraft. Others just narrow out the possibility of a hovering craft entirely.
Hovering has also come to be a symbol of the future. In countless movies, the future is portrayed with silver suits, odd building structures, and hovering crafts. Well, our project will prove that hovering is not a distant dream, but a present phenomenon.
So, all you cynics…Prepare to have your mind expanded and your interpretations
of science bended. Hovering is a reality. If the Princess from Super Mario
Bros. 2 can do it, then so can we.
