Infrastructure

In many developing nations, wireless communications is more widespred than traditional land lines.  Bliders can be used as an alternative to building traditional communications infrastructure in developing nations.  These nations can jump start their communications industry without intensive investment in traditional communications infrastructure.

Power supply

Groups of bliders can fly into a disaster area that has lost power or into a remote location and provide power to aid people with tasks.

Although my ideal use of bliders would be rental units for recreational use, new technologies are developed and utilized first through military and commercial applications.  Then it can be trickled down to civilian use.

Military support

Bliders can be equipped with radars to provide radar support for military applications instead of using capital intensive airplanes.  The military always has uses for all kinds of aircraft.  Since bliders would be silent when they are operating, the military could utilize them for surveillance.
