: When using director, how do you format it when
: converting to projector to make it so that it
: doesn't use the whole screen and have a lot of
: extra background that you don't want?
When creating a projecter there is a options menu
that you can go to. In that menu there is an option
to resize the screen and center it. Both are usually
selected.
: Also, what size does it have to be to work with Shockwave?
There isn't a specific Shockwave size, but it obviously
must be smaller than the standard 640x480 because of
the memory it would suck up, and the Netscape browser
does not default to that size. My suggesting would be
try to get it no wider than 3.5 inches and no taller than 4
and that is probably pushing it.
: Sorry...just a couple more clarifications
: regarding the first assignment...is it 300k as
: a director strip or on projector?
Just the film strip. The projector element enlarges the
file significantly, so for right now, I just wanted
you to concentrate on keeping the actual media small.
: Also, no text in the whole thing?
No. I meant that any text that you make into a graphic,
will not count towards the 3 or for the background
transperant. Text is very easy to keep clean, so I
wanted to add a little challenge by disqualifying it.
Feel free to use as much text as you like it's cheap
in terms of space.
: By the way, just for general knowledge, I picked up
: "Director Demystified,"
Any third party book will do. I have also seen an expanded
addition of the Director Visual Quickstart that includes
a cd-rom with lots of useful demos. It goes into a lot
more lingo than the original one.
