Hi Sandy,
I'll check my registration to make sure that I'm registered for the report
and not a special project, in case that's what you've got on your
paperwork.
What I've been doing is putting together 3 chapters into a report,
formatted for UT's standards in microsoft word. I plan to port most of
that to the web and link it to items on the zapnet/actlab and other sites.
These three chapters are in various draft states and I'm getting them
ready for your review. I have the front materials (acknowledgements, etc.)
and back materials (bibliographies, etc.) in final draft form.
Because of some stressful situations and happy respites, I haven't
finalized this as much as I had hoped -- and since there is no grade given
until the report is completed, I didn't prepare anything to submit before
the end of the session. At this point, I had planned to print it out for
you and give it to you here--It should be 40-80 pages, depending on
illustrations and attachments-- but I can post something for you on the
web. Early next week would be best for me. I am prepared to show my
progress before asking consent for fall semester and will take a copy to
show Kathryn and Federico when I go for departmental approval.
If you'd like I can send a CD-ROM now. This would mostly be older work,
but would include other work in progress. As I've mentioned, the bulk of
my efforts have been with the Durito project. Though currently in print
form, I'm working on ways that its narrative and background can support
and, in turn be supported by, my/our interactive projects. I've designed
the page layouts for the book and am working with the art work... I have a
sample of the first story in .pdf format that I can post on the web. Also,
you might enjoy my/our annotated version of "The Cave of Desire" as a
sample of one of the 30 stories in the collection. I can send you these
things tommorrow from my office.
Thanks for the endurance.
Tamara
p.s. here's the url for a book of erotic paintings based on "cave of
desire" that I found researching search engine responses to certain Zap
keywords: erica.chappuis@cwix.com/cavetitl.html">http://home.cwix.com/~erica.chappuis@cwix.com/cavetitl.html
(found other interesting things too, but you can read about that later.)
Also, LANIC is back up after a 4-day retreat and reinforcement but it may
still be unstable. My actlab account is forwarded there so I'm ccing my
@mail.
