who are these crazy people?

Thunderpuppet productions was created in mid 2006 as a progressive replacement for TheUpsideDownCatPeople - a community based organization which focused on the production of art at the grass-roots level. Our philosophy is simple: never stop producing art in whatever form it may happen to manifest itself at any given moment. Some of our past projects have incorporated screen printing, puppetry, screen writing, electronic music production, clothing design, social hacking, experimental poetry, and of course, throwing parties!

However, we are not artists - we prefer the term "assemblers" as it relates more truthfully to what we do. We believe that everyone has the potential to create, and therefore should. We are anti-elitist and anti-complacent. We are avant-gardners, dig it? We have traversed from poverty stricken industrial suburban wastelands to city centres to reclaim control of our lives. We play with the nonsense that constitutes the bulk of this vicious world in a way that speaks a social consciousness, yet reduces the deafening cries of the brainwashers to mere whimpers. We are subversive entrepreneurs. We are the voice that screams happy negation.

The bulk of our work is performed in a tiny efficiency apartment next to the railroad tracks. We make use of what we have and waste nothing. Boredom is not an option. Life is too short to not be doing something that you believe in every second of every day. Remember kids: "que sera sera" is always counter-revoltionary!
