-> painting into model

These pictures are of my second attempt to create a basswood model of Mondrian's Broadway Boogie Woogie, which would be the starting point for my subsequent projects this semester. The first model was a disaster: I tried to move too far from the painting far too quickly. This model, while perhaps less exciting, carries a much greater deal of Mondrian's energy in it, and allowed me to move forward.
