The University Hills Library Experience
At the University Hills Branch in Austin which is located on the East side of town, the computer lab donated by the Dell's has become some sort of a safe haven for many children. After the interview with Pat Chow I understood that her perspective and mine were not all that different. After volunteering in the library for many Mondays my initial proposal came to fruition. I found out that being a librarian or someone who is there for technical support was not only a rewarding experience but, a dynamic one. As each question arose among the children in the lab, it became evident how necessary they needed my individual attention. The computer lab has become a place for these children, not only to get their homework done that teachers assign, but also to interact with each other and those that are there to help.
