Photocell Theremin recording
(WARNING: high pitched noise!)
The Photocell Theremin is a portable noisemaking device which uses light to effect both the pitch and volume of a tone.
The device is powered by a 9-Volt battery and has a 1/4" jack for connecting to one's amplifier of choice (in this case, a small Pignose guitar amplifier).
I had a lot of fun building this device and going forward, I would try to incorporate it into a larger instrument of some sort.
I like the idea of using light and shadow to interact with music.
