The Law of conservation of energy states that energy can neither be created nor destroyed in any given reaction. What does this mean?
Well, for starters it is a guiding principal of physics, which has been excepted has a scientific law.
However, it also has various philsophical implications. Energy is affectivly the building blocks of the universe. We are all comprised of energy. If energy can neither be created nor destroyed, the where do our materials come from?
They are recycled from previous materials. Consequently we are all connected on a physical level.
Principal 1: We are intrinsically connected because of our common origin.
However, if we our origin lies in recyclyed materials from other objects in the intersteller medium, then one can assume that at some point what makes us up will return to that medium. When and how does that happen.
It occurs at death, when our physical bodys decompose. However, it occurs more often that as well. Whenever a living being expends enegy, they are returning that energy to the celestial medium.
When do we expend energy? Whenever we do anything. Even breathing takes energy, and thus we expend energy at all times. The only time we stop is in death. Therefore there is a corrolation between life and energy.
Principal 2: Any action is an investment of energy, and therefore and investment of life.
The guiding question being, what does it all mean? How do we justify or prioritize our life?
