My goal for project two was to create a dreamscape through the medium of collaging. I chose images that were representative of dreams that I had recently had and incorporated them into my vision of a dream world. I liked the idea that dreams have the possibility to manifest themselves in everyday “real” life so I added the element of the mask to break the two-dimensional barrier of the collage form. The pictures used for this collage are representative of dreams that I have on a regular basis. Food items line the base of the dreamscape and represent my “dream feasts” during which I gorge myself on grandiose feasts. The faces covering the mask represent a recurring dream during which a fact is looking at me through a window or doorway. The rain cloud made out of jewels represents my love of storms which I often dream about. Finally my ability to lucid dream helps greatly in the fostering of sexually themed dreams represented in the dreamscape by the photos of women taken from porn magazines.
