Project 2: This project I used the same techniques as the first one but I wanted to use traditionally different colors and also combine the figure of the Virgin Mary. I don't think these scans of the pictures show the real color of the painting. The class seemed to like these more. I think because I used the Virgin Mary in a dark way and this caused more of a struggle within the picture. The colors and the hollow eyes make them look more alien-like and dark. I used oil pastels with these which I like better then watter color. I am able to use my hands more and have more control of the shape.
