The Final Solution: Bio Solutions for the 21st Century
Bio Solutions International is a short promo video of an imaginary military contracting company. BSI examines the absurdity of a corporation that sells death, specifically the use of biological weapons.
I was inspired to make this based on the quote (Pg. 72 of PDF) at the beginning of the video, written in 2000 by a neo-conservative think tank called The Project for the New American Century.
In this document, entitled Rebuilding America’s Defenses, PNAC outlines a strategy about how to maintain U.S. hegemony on the world through military might. In there statement of principles they state,
“[What we require is] a military that is strong and ready to meet both present and future challenges; a foreign policy that boldly and purposefully promotes American principles abroad; and national leadership that accepts the United States’ global responsibilities.
Another inspiration for this video came from actually seeing what promotional videos look like for these military contracting companies, Such as Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC). See their video here.
The stock footage came from a website called Fotosearch.com
