For my final project in ACTLab, I decided to take on something completely different. I have NEVER worked with audio editing or recording in my five years at UT and decided it was time. After many hours struggling over a crappy mic and trying my best to direct my boyfriend musically (my inexperience made this especially tedious on him) we laced together about 3 minutes worth of song which ends with an alarm clock sounding. I recorded the piano and drumming tracks and directed his guitar playing and saxophone playing. Hopefully the piece comes across as a dream that is full and tangible and then slowly starts to drift away and become more and more faint and thin as the dreamer wakes.
