Over the past few months, Lucy has gained popularity in the form of one of those links that just gets forwarded in emails and through online forums. On occasion, I find one of these and keep an eye on them, always interested in what is being said. Last month, I found this forum on remantculture.com.



One user (right above this sentence) even recommends another DoubleParker.com feature for those that enjoyed Lucy the Cactus – this is the kind of advertising I love. Good word of mouth is hard to beat.

Lucy update:

This week I discovered a forum hosted by a group calling themselves the Friends of Lucy! Now these are my kind of people! A group of good folks brought together to talk about random nonsense using the Lucy the Cactus feature as their way of generating dialogue. If I posted a comment on their forum, would I be regarded as a celebrity? Who knows, but I think I’ll give it a shot when grad school quiets down a bit.
