Instead of basing this project on dreams, I based this on my nightmares. I was deathly scared of puppets when I was a child. After seeing the movie "Puppet Master", I never looked at stuffed animals the same.

So I created one that would have scared the crap out of me. Using a moving hand that uses sound to start to crawl, I painted it and rewired it so that it didn't respond to sound. Instead it now responds to movement.

I attached it to a stuffed animal that had to be destuffed to make it light enough to be carried by the hand. I just changed up the face slightly so he didn't look to happy.

I then experimented by putting the animal next to my dog. As soon as she moved, it started to crawl straight torwards her. She reacted more like it was a squirrel, but I had created what I originally intended.

A free moving puppet.

eek.
