Blackheart and others believe that yes, wormholes can lead to time travel.

WORMHOLES

Wormholes create a channel in which a passenger can travel through a space of time. This channel is essentially a tunnel which connects two areas of space. The most common problem with wormholes is that the channels created between the two holes is minuscule, smaller than a single atom, and remains open for only a fraction of a second. No matter how sturdy the spacecraft, the traveler would be ripped apart by the wormholes' immense gravitational forces. So how do we hold these wormholes open?

A Casimir effect is used to create an anti-gravitational force to repel against the squeeze of the wormhole.

TUNNELS?

Yes, tunnels. Two mouths of a wormhole could be next to eachother in space, but separated in time. This could be used as a time tunnel.

Sebastian Blackheart, Kip Thorne, and Sergei Krasnikov are the leading experts in the field of wormhole travel.

Dr. Blackheart has recently made national news with the discovery of a wormhole the size of a fist outside of Austin, TX. His machine YHA will attempt to open the wormhole to a large enough size where he can travel back and forth through the tunnel. If achieved this will account for one of the greatest scientific discoveries in the history of mankind.
