Like the two projects that came before this one, it started off as a whole different idea. After a long time thinking about what my final project should be I decided that I would incorporate my last project in it somehow. So I came up with the brilliant idea to make a rap. I didn't want this to be a stupid rap about cars and girls or mindless things like that. I decided I wanted to make a rap song about a serious topic. I chose the ongoing events in Iraq and the participation of the people of this country in everything surrounding it. I decided to send a message that all of us have to do our part to change the world we live in, and if you don't do anything then you can't complain. We started with the beat because you can't fix a beat to words. Again I used the help of my friend Juice and his recording studio, aka house. We used a program called Fruity Loops 7. This program has everything that you would need to make a beat including all the bells and whistles, literally, along with drums, snares, snaps, and everything else you can think of. It was pretty easy to use the program to make the basic beat. The next thing to do was put parts of project two into the beat. I went through and picked the sections I thought would fit best into a rap beat. We used the program CubaseSX again to cut and paste the violin into the beat. After the violin and the beat were put together we added a few extra minor things, the piano again, to finish off the beat. Now it was time for me to write the lyrics. I went home that night thinking hard about what I was going to say in my rap. It took me a while to make my ideas flow well and rhyme but i completed three verses and a chorus with a message I was proud of. The next day we got back together at Juice's house and recorded the rhymes using the CubaseSX program through an AT4050 mike into a Presonus Firepod fire wire interface, so we could put the rhymes into the computer. After we recorded a few samples of each verse and the chorus we put together everything and finished the song off. So without further ado here is the final project, it's a culmination of my musical genius. Hope you enjoy!
