Glossary
Broadband- A high bandwidth internet connection that is vastly faster then a normal Dail-up Modem. A dial-up connection can usually download 5-20 kilobytes a second, where as broadband connections download 100-1,000 kilobytes a second.
SSH- A remote sever login protocol. SSH is used mainly for logging onto Unix/Linux servers remotely, though some Windows servers use SSH as well. Though for most beginners SSH is used for transferring files from their computer to a remote server. An example of this would be when wants to update their files for a website. Current programs that are used for remote users to login to their server with SSH are SSH(for PC, available from Bevoware) and Fugu (an opensource client for MACs).
