Objective
The objective of this project/report is to take an in-depth look at how multimedia production is implemented within the confines of ones own "personal media system". A personal media system loosely consists a way to input media, process media and export media. This website contains examples of such systems in an effort to help the independent multimedia production community think about new and innovative solutions to current limitations we face. Examples of current limitations vary, some view the fact that current broadband connections do not offer comparable upload speeds as download as a limitation, others might feel that the current non standardization of HD technology is a limiting factor. Barriers to entry of multimedia production will be looked at such as technological knowledge base, computer technology costs and other issues.

In order to begin a loose definition of "personal multimedia production", I will give a basic example followed by 2 more examples that vary in complexity and capabilities.

The case studies and glossary sections constitute the project part of the website. The report section contains analysis on the data collected as well as theorization as to what the personal multimedia system relationship with the cyborg is, was and one day might be.
