Howdy folks. My name is Sadie Hawkins (like the dance) and I enjoy writing about myself. I'm also a Junior at the University of Texas and I study Political Communications and English. So why am I taking this CRAZY class? One, because I'm a lesbian and I'm interested in any and all queer issues, and two, because I need a class outside of Communication Studies for my major. But mostly because of the queer thing.

I'm also the Director of a political student organization called StandOut and next semester I'm going to Scotland to study at the University of Edinburgh and work for the Scottish Parliament. It's gonna rock!
