camera rigging

This is the a remote control camera rig I made for future video/film productions. I made it all on my own and it runs like a little remote control car with a $4,000 camera mounted to it. I spent approximately over $400 buying all the parts in making this experimental project.

I did some research and was able to get almost all the materials I needed to build the remote control dolly camera.

Two motors, a dual speed control, a Futaba remote control with a reciever controlling the speed and steering servosm and A $7 children's skateboard to mount the parts.

An adjustable braket where the camera sits.

A track constructed out of aluminum C-channels.

Ideally, the track is meant to be hung from the ceiling for overhead shots. The remote control is meant to operate the dolly from a distance.

Surprisingly, I was able to build most of it in two days straight. There's more work to be done, but I don't have the time or the money to spend at the moment. I'll need to buy the steering parts to give the dolly range of motion. Then, I need to make the track more stable...
