the oil villian

On my four day trip to shoot a music video for country band, I promised myself to spend some time on the beach in Corpus Christi. It was enjoyable while it lasted at one o'clock in the morning. I found it relaxing to sit on the sand, listen to the waves, enjoy the scenery. I remember the last time I had been to a beach was Galveston. The experience was horrible. I was able to see oil rigs out into the water and oil tankers docked at the end of the beaches. The water wasn't pleasant to look at either... so much pollution.

I felt there should be a villian created out this kind of environment. A Texas oil tycoon bent on providing funds to a secret organization to eradicate illegal aliens. A freak accident causes him to fuse himself with oil and toxic waste, making him a never ending burning body of fire.

I took a G. I. Joe and covered it with fifteen bottles of rubber cement. I found it faster to mix black and brown paint to make the rubber cement dry faster. Originally, I wanted to paint cool designs after all the layers of rubber cement dried up. The rubber cement took too long to dry and there was a lot of maitenance to be done to keep the rubber cement clinging onto the action figure. I also took the rubber cement peelings off the table and added them on to the legs for additional texture.

He can totally be set of fire... if I had a lighter.
